Recovery Smoothie #1

This one goes out to all my friends who were over here last night. :-)
Recovery from what, Karla?  Well, it could be from running? Or maybe biking?  Or perhaps other things one might need to recover from. Personally, I am recovering from two slices of pizza.  I don't think cheese agrees with my tummy anymore.

Recovery Smoothie
Serves 2

Ingredients
1C almond milk, unsweetened (or any other milk, I've also used water + ice with a bit more agave)
2 very ripe frozen bananas, cut into chunks
1C pineapple cubes
2C (two large handfuls) spinach
1T agave nectar, or 1 packet stevia to taste.  My bananas were ripe enough that I didn't need to use sweetener

Method
Blend. Drink. Recover.

You can't taste the spinach, I swear.  Veggie hater approved.

you're sure it's the pizza you're recovering from? Not whatever amount of alcohol you had after we left? lol

Unless I'm now allergic to wheat, cause it was only that one beer all day for me!

Man, being allergic to wheat would really, really suck.

The recovery combination sounds wonderful...for whatever a person may be recovering from at any given time :) Pineapple is great with greens!

Someday I'll try spinach in a smoothie--don't know why I find it so intimidating! And I could have used one of these yesterday morning :D Let's hear it for weekends...

Start by adding it to something with strong flavors, i'd say..like Mango or Pineapple. Then you can be really sure you won't taste it. It'll just make the smoothie really purty. Oh, and don't start with something red..cause then it'll look super brown and unappetizing. Hahaha.

Bananas and pineapple is one of my favourite smoothie combos! Throw in a few chunks of mango, and I'm in tropical heaven.

fav combo evahhh! though sometimes I get feisty and toss a bell pepper chunk in with the pineapple/banana/spinach combo -- it tastes like a salad in a glass! which... ok that sounds weird! but I love it! haha

hope your tummy is feeling better lovey!!!!!

This looks great! However, I clicked on it because it said "raw" in the Tastespotting description, (I am on a raw diet) but it has almond milk in it! I just wanted to point that out because it was a little confusing :)

Hey there! I'm sorry it was confusing. Definitely didn't mean to be misleading. I make my own almond milk by blending raw almond butter (which I am lucky to have available in my area) with water and a smidge of agave.
